    Job Purpose:

    Work under the Vice President of Sales – The Americas to manage sales activities / new business development by executing sales strategy, driving customer orders, assisting with the development of marketing and sales materials, conducting competitive analysis and resolving product and service issues.


    Duties:


    · Drive prospecting/sales efforts to grow current and future business in natural products, mass market, and OMNI Channel
    · Up to 50% travel per month; including air travel and driving (must have valid driver's license)
    · Responsible for growing North American profitability by building the market position, identifying growth opportunities and leading the development and delivery of new customers and achieving growth goals.
    · Identification, negotiation and closing new opportunities 
    · Understanding market trends and unmet customer needs and applying this knowledge to key customer targets.
    · Develop new business opportunities at existing accounts.
    · Develop and execute the Go-To-Market plan with technology sales, operations, supply chain, research/development and marketing.
    · Create new business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, competitive analysis, customer requirements, potential, and financials; evaluate options; make value propositions
    · Develop deep relationships with targeted customers through direct contact with procurement, R&D, marketing and finance personnel and across entire customer organization.
    · Qualify and build a pipeline of high-quality sales opportunities for new ingredients and manage them to ensure successful development.
     
    Qualifications:


    · Bachelors Degree
    · 5+ years Business to Business sales experience
    · 5+ years of sales experience in the food, beverage and Nutrition ingredient industries
    · Demonstrated effective prospecting skills
    · Road warrior with valid driver's license and must be okay with frequent air travel
    · Demonstrated ability to cultivate extensive in-depth contacts at accounts of all sizes
    · Strong negotiation skills and strong communication skills; written and verbal
    · Self starter, strong time, and territory management skills
    · Strong computer skills with Microsoft and email systems
