    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Data Coordinator will be an active member of the Business Intelligence (BI) team. This position requires collaboration with various internal clients, including but not limited to members of the senior management, Clinic Manager, clinicians, etc. S/he will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of EMR system (eClnicalworks), encounter data flows, compliance requirements, clinic operations and managed care programs. The individual will play a role in implementing the data input, data collection, data validation, and reporting to identify the areas of deficiencies. The Data Coordinator must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs and other computer functions to maintain the clinic data available for the use of Business Intelligence and to respond to other departments’ needs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    • Target, collect and analyze data associated with patients and patient services
    • Generate descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analysis of organization’s performance in areas of quality and efficiency in service delivery
    • Serve as a resource for internal clients to train them on ABCs of data
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual reports for internal & external clients
    • Interpret & articulate data outcomes for novices
    • Perform data entry and prepare tracking reports internally & externally
    • Assist with Patient Satisfaction Surveys reports
    • Attend and participate in the monthly QI/QA meetings
    • Spearhead education of internal clients on data analytics and data analysis
    • Assist with educating and training providers and care teams about the importance of clinical performance measures related to encounter data
    • Maintain patient care database and up-to-date communications
    • Other duties as assigned & necessary

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Math, Statistics, Analytics or health related field preferred

    • Inquisitive acumen to identify organization’s areas of strengths & opportunities through data

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Excellent time management and organizational skills

    • Advanced computer skills, including email, Microsoft Office (Excel!) & data tracking

    • Ability to work quickly, follow directions and make independent decisions

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling patient medical records

    • Experience in community clinic environment a plus

    • Bilingual English/Spanish/Korean a plus

    • Valid California driver license and insurable driving record required
