Job Summary: Ki Liquid Engineering is looking for a Buyer to ensure that the organization selects the most appropriate suppliers, for the achievement of the economic, quality and service objectives, and to manage all assigned suppliers and lead purchasing activities for the projects we develop. Duties/Responsibilities: * Alongside the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the negotiation of the cost, terms, quality, technology and delivery with the suppliers. * Keeps apprised of customer needs, keeping up to date with market knowledge and trends and reacting to changes in supply, cost, and delivery. Maximizing profits and negotiating effective contracts with suppliers at competitive prices. * Manage the supplier performance, identify risks, and develop/implement strategic buying plans to assure fulfilment of business objectives (develop, promote, globalize, replace or reduce supplier base), provide quantifiable achievements, and monitor scores. * As an active member of the Project team during Development, coordinate with Engineering and Project Management, all assigned suppliers and lead all purchasing activities across functions and departments. The Buyer goals are aligned with Project goals. * Lead all supplier communications for Engineering changes, minimizing cost impact, and coordinating timing and samples with Project team, and Operations Team. * Manage ongoing communications with suppliers and resolve issues using the escalation matrix. * Identify, propose, and implement changes to improve buying or procurement procedures. * Responsible for understanding the use of the supply chain knowledge to contribute to his optimization together with Logistics Department and Supplier. * Work closely with Sales and Development team to maintain adequate inventory and to ensure production schedule. * Other account/purchasing reconciliation and duties · Other Duties as they may be assigned Requirements * Strong understanding of QuickBooks account software * High level of inventory use vs projection * High level negotiation abilities * Strong analytical with strong proven problem-solving abilities * Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills * Keen attention to detail and accuracy * Commercially and financially astute · Excellent customer service / time management skills. · Highly proficient with Microsoft Office or related software · Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. Education and Experience: * Proven purchasing experience of minimum 3-5 years in similar position (purchasing of components is preferred), preferably within Industrial or Automotive manufacturing environment. * Experience with ERP in manufacturing environments
