As a Kid to Kid Sales Associate, you will be responsible for the following tasks:I. Provide Excellent Levels of Customer Service. This is the most important aspect of your job at Kid to Kid. Follow these guidelines:1. THE GREETING: It is expected that EVERY customer be greeted in a personal way within two minutes ofentering the store. The greeting should include a determination of their understanding of the Kid to Kidsystem, and an explanation if they are not familiar with how we operate.2.ANSWER QUESTIONS: You will be trained to answer questions the Kid to Kid way. Memorize theseanswers and follow the guidelines very closely to avoid misunderstanding. (You can use your own words,but make sure the content is the same). Memorize the information about how we expect product to bepresented. When you set up appointments, be sure to give the complete dialogue.3.DEVELOP A RAPPORT: Learn the customer’s name and make an effort to make them feel welcomeand comfortable in the store. Assist them with children by directing them to the play area. Be positive,friendly, and helpful.4.MEET CUSTOMER NEEDS: Watch for opportunities to help the customer. This could include offeringa stroller, taking product up to the counter while she continues to shop, suggesting coordinating piecesfor clothing she is looking at, or pointing out product she may not have seen, or may not be familiarwith. Always watch for opportunities to explain our product. How does it work? What age of child isit appropriate for? What are the differences in brands and styles? This is particularly important for carseats, cribs, strollers, swings, infant carriers, and toys.5.NEVER LET A CUSTOMER LEAVE EMPTY HANDED: No one should ever visit a Kid to Kid store andleave without an understanding of what Kid to Kid is and how it works. New customers should receivea flyer explaining the concept. Expectant mothers should receive a New Baby Checklist. Other customers might receive an imprinted bag, a business card, a flyer for a friend, a free trinket for a child who hasbeen good, help out to the car, and a THANK YOU and a SMILE!6.BUILD SALES: You will be trained in sales building techniques, but if you are conscientious aboutdoing the five items listed above, you will be successful in creating sales both in the short term, andthe long term!
