    Job Title: KidStrong DFW Director

    Center: LOCATION

    Reports To: Regional Head Coach, DFW

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Travel: Local travel required

    Compensation: Base Salary ($50,000 - $58,000) plus bonus

    KidStrong Directors are the leaders of the center – it is the responsibility of the Director to foster a culture of learning and development for both their Coaches and the Families that attend the center. The Director is a talented, welcoming, and engaging leader who is focused on defining goals and delivering an exceptional experience for the kids, families, and team members. The goal of the Director is to develop and train their coaching team, build the culture of their center through interacting with families and managing center operations, and to deliver amazing classes.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    COACHING

    Coach students by delivering an evolving curriculum that focuses on Brain, Physical, and Character development for ages groups ranging from 15 months - 11 years-old approximately 12 hours a week.

    Create positive interactions with students and families before, during, and after class.

    Maintain dynamic, fun, motivational. and professional demeanor when leading class

    Achieve Coach Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team.

    Understand the “why” behind the KidStrong curriculum and be able to clearly and concisely communicate it.

    Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various programming and curriculum elements.

    Use the KS Coaches App to record data and provide data (attendance, awards, etc.).

    Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.

    Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum.

    Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lift and repeatedly move equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.

    Must be comfortable physically working with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.

    Assisting parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class.

    Lead monthly center staff programming meetings where staff receive training for the following months programming.

    Complete trainings throughLearnUpon as required by the HQ Training and Certification team.

    LEADERSHIP

    Continuously assess and document performance of Coaches.

    Achieve Head Coach Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team.

    Achieve Center Director Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team.

    Set and communicate Coach schedules using appropriate scheduling and communication platforms.

    Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to align with our core values (Families do not leave KidStrong).

    Recruit, screen, interview, onboard, manage, train and evaluate coaching candidates.

    Monitor and ensure staffing levels are met while continually recruiting future talent.

    Ensure candidates complete all paperwork to be in compliance with company policy and law.

    Lead training practicals for new coaching candidates.

    Lead coaching candidates through the training process and required evaluations.

    Ensure coaching evaluations are up to date on a 30/60/90 model.

    Develop coaches through formal feedback sessions on a weekly basis.

    Manage and support ongoing professional development of staff through LearnUpon.

    Attend monthly HQ programming rollout to learn ensuing month's programming.

    Attend monthly HQ Nation Head Coaching call.

    Lead center level programming rollout and train staff on next month's programming.

    Attend weekly leadership meeting with DFW leaders

    CENTER OPERATIONS

    Basic understanding of the center’s financials in order to make informed and responsible business decisions.

    Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to align with our core values (Families do not leave KidStrong!)

    Assist in the execution of community events as necessary.

    Oversee center level initiatives i.e. center maintenance, trainings, brand consistency etc.

    Daily, Weekly, and Monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center; quarterly support with upkeep of other centers in the KidStrong portfolio.

    Partner with center leaders on needs, KPIs, class ratings, and overall center performance, including weekly meetings with your center’s operations specialist.

    Provide excellent customer service to families and handle their needs when in center.

    Manage center level employee issues and manage appropriate documentation

    Typical schedule includes 4 weekday and 1 weekend shifts with specific hours being dependent on the needs of the center.

    Learn and manage your center’s KidStrong Camp - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (example: Winter Break, Summer Break).

    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

    Passion for working with children is non-negotiable

    Athletic or coaching background with experience working with or coaching kids ages 15 months - 11 years old

    Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding variety of topics

    Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required

    Previous experience in management is preferred but not required

    Practical work experience with Google and Microsoft platforms.

    Previous experience with systems and platforms such as ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, ADP, and FranConnect is preferred but not required

    Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on KidStrong curriculum is preferred

    Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics

    CPR certified

    Self-starter who just gets the job done

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position will supervise all Coaches and the Lead Coach.. The Director will be a leader and mentor so communication and interpersonal skills are important.

    Sphere of Interaction

    The Director will work closely with center team members and families. This position will also interact with DFW leadership and KidStrong, Inc. HQ team members.
