KidStrong Sport & Fitness Coach — $20/hr | Part-Time
Do you love working with kids? Are you energetic, outgoing, and comfortable being the person who brings the FUN?
KidStrong Edina is building our opening coaching team, and we're looking for enthusiastic people who want to make a difference in kids' lives.
You don't need to be a personal trainer or an experienced fitness coach. We provide the training and curriculum. We're looking for people who are great with kids, bring energy to a room, are dependable, and are excited to learn.
This is a great fit for college students, student-athletes, teachers, education majors, coaches, camp counselors, childcare professionals, gymnastics/dance/swim instructors, personal trainers, and anyone who loves working with kids.
ABOUT KIDSTRONG
KidStrong helps kids ages crawling through 11 become stronger, smarter and more confident through a science-based curriculum focused on physical, brain and character development.
Our coaches lead fast-paced, high-energy classes while engaging both kids and their parents.
SCHEDULE
We're primarily hiring coaches who can work:
Weekday evenings: approximately 4:00–7:30 PM
Weekend mornings: approximately 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
Additional opportunities may be available for camps, birthday parties, Parents' Night Out and special events.
You do not need to be available for every shift.
YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT KIDSTRONG COACH IF YOU:
Love working with kids
Are energetic, outgoing and comfortable being in front of a group
Can communicate confidently with both kids and adults
Are dependable and show up ready to bring energy
Enjoy sports, fitness, movement or athletics
Are coachable and excited to learn
Want a fun, active job instead of sitting behind a desk
Can obtain CPR certification
Previous coaching or youth experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead KidStrong classes using our established curriculum
Coach and encourage kids from crawling age through 11
Create an energetic, positive and fun class environment
Communicate with parents about their child's experience
Learn KidStrong's coaching methodology through training
Work with your coaching team to keep the center clean, organized and ready for classes
