Our hours extend from morning classes and then evening classes until 7 pm. Weekend we run classes in the morning through lunch. We will be opening KidStrong Centers throughout North New Jersey. (Bergen County, Passaic County, and Essex County) and we will grow the New Jersey market to 10-15 centers total! What we expect…
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while overseeing operational functions and driving sales and memberships.
•Provide leadership and daily sales and member relations at the center.
•This critical position must have a solid understanding of sales and operational excellence. The General Manager will use lead generation / marketing strategies plan to increase sales as well as engage in customer relations with members and parents.
•This leader must pose a high caliber approach to organization and be a self motivator that is hungry to meet and beat goals.
•This is a salaried position with bonuses, but this is NOT a typical 9-5 job.
•The General Manager must be flexible and adaptable to shift hours as needed to make sure the Center runs at optimal and leads and members are communicated with quickly.
•The General Manager is also required to coach a minimum of 15 classes per week so experience with kids and coaching is a must.
General Managers Responsibilities:
•Provides excellent leadership and management to create a positive, successful environment for Coaches and clients.
•Properly manages and exceeds all KidStrong sales and operational budgets.
•Works closely with the Assistant GM of the Center to ensure that the staff and studio are looked after.
•Builds and maintains KidStrong class size through scheduling optimization.
•Models all studio activities through self-involvement (leading by example).
•Communicate with staff for all trials and any thing they need to know about the members.
•Timely response and follow through with all KidStrong corporate/owner requests and client and lead request.
•Enforces KidStrong corporate policies, business practices, systems and processes.
•Ensures that all front desk systems are followed such as proper Member Check-In, telephone inquiries (general and sales related), guest registration, cash handling, delinquent account procedures, customer care calls, and change requests.
•Provides and maintains the highest level of customer service.
•Provides effective decision making regarding customer service issues.
•Responsible for ensuring that the facility is clean, maintained and operationally sound (along with the Assistant General Manager)-General Manager/ Head Coach with leading and developing his/her coaching team in addition to coaching the required amount of classes -Help Recruit, hire, and train new coaches and ensure all center processes and programing is followed and executed properly.-Deliver predesigned workouts to parents and students (max 15 students per class) ages walking – 11 years old.-Energize and motivate members throughout the class
Requirements:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, education, or related field.
Minimum 1-3+ years of management experience, including overseeing all aspects of company management.
Minimum 1-3 years of previous sales experience.
Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including at least 3 evenings per week (last class ends at 7 pm) and weekends
Be promotionally-oriented and have the ability to schedule trials through company required vetting.
Understanding of all performance metrics (KPI's), revenue, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenance.
Must have the ability to multi-task, manage client and staff concerns, and be a self-starter.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Open, participative leadership style and drive for excellence.
Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor.
Practical work experience using Microsoft Office Products
Previous management experience with children and fitness industry strongly preferred.
