We are looking for a caring, reliable, responsible, Jesus loving individual for our afternoon shifts. We need someone that can work Monday through Friday on our preschool end. This shift would vary from 1:00-6:00 or 3:00-6:00 depending on applicants availability. Responsibilities

Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem and communication skills

Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve disagreements

Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)

Help kids with the transition to nap time to snack time.

Update Procare of kids daily activities

Debrief parents of child's day at pick up

Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Follow closing procedures and cleaning checklists

Skills

Excellent understanding of the principles of child development

Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

Excellent communication and instructional skills

Ability to act as a mediator between children

Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable

Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen

Requirements- Need to be able to pass an enhanced background check through Health and Welfare-- Need to have or be able to obtain Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification
