Kiddie Academy, a NAEYC Accredited Program and a leader in education-based curriculum for children six weeks through age five, has a state-of-the-art early learning center in Stoughton, MA. We are seeking to fill teacher positions immediately with energetic and enthusiastic individuals who will uphold our learning through play curriculum. Our center is licensed for 150 children.

Successful candidates must have:

EEC Certification;

Experience in Early Childhood Education or a related field;

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to mentor and interact with children, parents and staff;

Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices; and

A high level of creativity and an enthusiasm for teaching.

Candidates will not be considered without all of the above.

Physical Requirements:

Be able to stand on your feet for up to 90% of the day;

Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds;

Sit on the floor and scrunch down to meet any child's needs; and

Perform all activities with the children, including running, jumping, etc.

Candidate must pass all required background checks.

Job Description:

Planning and implementing our proprietary curriculum;

Completing assessments and reports for the children;

Maintaining a positive and a collaborative attitude;

Bring a personal creative touch to the classroom including posting evidence of learning and having powerful interactions with children and adults; and

Follow licensing requirements and academy policies for early childhood development.

Essential Functions:

Ensure that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained;

Complete all academy and classroom paperwork;

Attend and participates in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings, as requested;

Assists and supervise children during all activities;

Counsel children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise;

Prepare and implement classroom lesson plans, program and schedule;

Develop, plan, and prepare instructional aids/materials for classroom activities;

Assist children with meal times and clean-up;

Ensure that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly;

Physically arrange the classroom into well-defined interest areas;

Direct activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner;

Communicate appropriate information to parents;

Maintain developmental profiles for children;

Maintain family information board and other classroom bulletin boards; and

Ensure that classroom medication schedule is followed.
