In our long-term transformational program, women with children receive housing, access to health care, education, financial coaching, job training, Bible study and life skills classes in a safe, Christ-centered residential setting. The program is designed to lovingly transform families from dependency to self-sufficiency through daily accountability, personal responsibility and goal advancement.
Our Children’s Program includes Kids Academy and Kids Club, where we serve all children in the New Life Mission program with the goal of providing a loving, caring and safe learning environment that encourages and promotes development in the areas of physical, social, emotional, spiritual and intellectual growth.

NEW LIFE MISSION FULL-TIME JOB OPENING
Kids Club Coordinator
The Kids Club Coordinator is responsible for the development and oversight of the Kids Club Program, including aftercare, evening/weekend Kids Club and camps. This position also supports Kids Academy staff. A flexible schedule is required as this will include evening and weekend hours.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain high-quality childcare standards based on developmentally appropriate practices in a Christian atmosphere
Oversee and schedule Kids Club staff and volunteers to include participating in interviews, scheduling, training, employee evaluations and conflict resolution
Collaborate with volunteer groups to create engaging activities with the children
Ensure spaces are clean, safe and organized
Maintain Kids Club supplies, work within budget and develop opportunities for supporters to provide activities, supplies, fun days, etc.
Document children's participation in the program in accordance with program policies and procedures (e.g. attendance sheets, milestones)
Keep accident reports and notify Children's Program Director of incidents as needed and report any suspected child abuse in accordance with Florida abuse reporting requirements
Maintain confidentiality to include managing photo releases for children in the program
Aftercare (School-age children)
Participate in van pick-ups or meet children at bus as needed
Plan for daily snack to be ready when children arrive
Plan and coordinate aftercare activities for school-age children in accordance with curriculum objectives (e.g. arts and crafts, supervised computer learning, STEAM centers)
Kids Club Evenings/Weekends (All children)
Plan evening/weekend Kids Club with fun and play as focus
Work with staff to see that all children receive dinner
Oversee and support children and staff during evening and weekend hours to ensure that activities are implemented effectively and that staff-to-child ratios remain in full compliance with safety policies.
Camps
Plan camps for winter, spring and summer breaks, and special activities for days off school.
Spring Break Camp - submit week-long plan to Children's Program Director by February 15 (note number of volunteers needed)
Summer Camp 10-week schedule to Children's Program Director by March 15th. Include list of desired activities (field trips, off-site activities, volunteer groups) so the Development Team has time to secure as much donated activities as possible.
Plan for school days off 3 weeks in advance-submit plan to Children's Program Director
Requirements
5+ years' experience working with children in a classroom setting
Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
Experience with activity planning and event management
Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Must maintain professional behavior to include respecting participants and other staff, maintaining confidentiality, and setting appropriate personal boundaries.
Be able to lift children up to 50 pounds
Be able to walk, bend, stand, squat or sit on the floor with children
Be able to physically respond quickly in an emergency
Be able to travel to various locations for field trips or outings using the company vehicle.
Wages/Hours/Location
Wage is dependent on work experience, skillset and education
Background Check required and valid Florida driver’s license
