    Position Title: Central Kids Pastor

    Campus: Glendale

    Reports to: Glendale Campus Pastor

    Status: Full-Time

    Position Summary: Central Kids Pastor is a campus role. Their primary focus will be to create an exciting and engaging Kid’s Ministry, leading kids in their next steps on their journey with Jesus, working in tandem with the coaching, direction and execution of the Kids Ministry, set by the Lead Kids Pastor. This role will engage individuals and families in the community and will work to recruit, develop, and equip volunteer leaders in each area of ministry. Central Kids Pastor must embody a heart for people and possess the maturity and wisdom to pastorally equip and empower people as they grow in their faith.

    This individual must fit within our collaborative culture and build teams that represents the campus and the community in areas of gender, ethnicity, and age. Our priority is to live out Ephesians 4:12, by leading in a way that “equips the saints to do the work of the ministry.” Our serving teams include team members, team leaders, and coaches. We also provide leadership to our teams as we Invite, Equip, and Engage those serving in Kids Ministry.

    Kids Community:

    Help people commit to Jesus Christ and the Glendale campus by taking their next spiritual steps through Discover More classes, joining a Rooted Group, participating in Community Groups, and through baptism.

    Help and assist every person to discover and activate their gifts for ministry so they can fulfill their mission and the mission of Central Christian Church.

    Create memorable and meaningful Special Events to develop community and enhance the Glendale campus experience

    Develop relationships with individuals and families

    Manage communication between Leadership Teams and Campus Pastor

    Develop, maintain, and grow partnerships with families, school administrators, and community organizations

    Participate in the leadership, development, and implementation of Central Kids’ weekend ministry. This includes but is not limited to, curriculum and program development, resource preparation, room preparation, room staffing, and set-up and tear-down

    Participate in the leadership and implementation of Central Kids’ ministry events. This includes but is not limited to Camp 456 (4th-6th grade), Kids Camp, Training nights, and outreach activities

    Support the Central Kids’ Core Values: Safety and Security, Biblical Teaching, Fun, Community and Families

    Support the vision and direction of Central Christian Church and Family Ministries

    Participate in “all staff” events at each level.

    Attend monthly Kids Ministry meetings

    Attend all church-wide/campus-specific events

    Cleaning & Facilities

    Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all Kids Ministry spaces to ensure a welcoming environment for children and families

    Perform routine cleaning tasks including taking out trash, dusting surfaces, sanitizing toys and high-touch areas, and cleaning windows and countertops

    Ensure floors are vacuumed, swept, and mopped weekly and after services, events, or meetings

    Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed to support ongoing facility upkeep

    Campus Collaboration and Leadership

    Participate as an active member of the campus leadership team, contributing to campus-wide vision, planning, and strategy discussions.

    Support and champion the overall vision, values, and culture of the campus and Central Christian Church.

    Partner with the Campus Pastor and other ministry leads (Student, Guest Experience, Next Steps, Worship, etc.) to create a unified ministry experience across all areas.

    Engage in regular campus team meetings, prayer gatherings, and all-campus staff events.

    Communicate regularly with the Campus Pastor and other ministry leaders to ensure alignment of goals, programming, and follow-up processes.

    Campus Presence & Contribution

    Be a visible and relational presence on Sundays and throughout the week—connecting with families and volunteers as part of the broader campus community.

    Participate in campus-wide events to ensure strong engagement.

    Collaborate with the Guest Experience and Next Steps teams to create smooth transitions for kids and parents entering or moving through ministry environments.

    Partner with the Campus Pastor in pastoral care and shepherding of families and volunteers as needed.

    Pastor-on-Call and Crisis Responder Rotation.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Role model in personal life:

    Must align with the vision, and values of Central Christian Church and be committed to doing Central no harm.

    Financially support the vision of Central Christian Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of gross income.

    Growing in your personal relationship with Christ, while developing personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the Church.

    Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of Central Christian Church employees, defined by the Employee Handbook.

    Physical Requirements:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to twenty-five pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
