Job Summary

Are you passionate about providing nurturing care and fostering the development of children during their critical early years? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Summer Camp Teacher to join our warm and loving daycare program. As a Summer Camp Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive and reach important milestones. Responsibilities

Create an engaging and inclusive child care that sparks curiosity and supports children's exploration and discovery.

Teachers implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.

Foster a positive daycare atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves.

Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials for teachers to teach different learning styles and abilities.

Plan and facilitate stimulating activities, including arts and crafts, music and movement, storytelling, and outdoor play, to promote holistic development.

Assess children's progress, document observations, and maintain accurate records to inform individualized instruction and communicate with our daycare parents/guardians.

Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a cohesive and enriching daycare.

Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on their child's development, milestones, and areas of growth within the daycare.

Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians through open and respectful communication, parent-teacher conferences, and involvement in daycare events.

Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations and implementing appropriate procedures of the daycare.

Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in childcare to continually enhance teacher methods and strategies.

Qualifications

Passion for child care and a genuine interest in fostering the development of daycare children.

Previous experience as a Teacher or in a similar role is highly desirable, demonstrating a strong foundation in child care education principles.

A CDA or an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is appreciated.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and fellow teachers.

Creativity and resourcefulness in designing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and lessons in the daycare.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to ensure a well-structured and engaging daycare environment.

Patience, empathy, and the ability to establish positive and nurturing relationships with children and their families.

First aid and CPR certifications are required, showcasing your commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. We help with obtaining and renewal of your certifications.
