    EXPERIENCED CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER / LEGAL ADMINISTRATOR Join Our Dynamic Law Firm in a Leadership Role We are a dynamic and growing law firm seeking an accomplished Chief Operating Officer or Professional Legal Administrator to elevate our operations to new heights. This pivotal role encompasses executive-level responsibilities spanning administration, personnel, finance, facilities, and business systems. We seek an individual with a proven track record of hands-on experience who can effectively manage key administrative functions and contribute significantly to shaping our firm's culture. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: • Oversee day-to-day operations, enhancing team performance and optimizing systems • Lead the implementation of firm policies and procedures in collaboration with the owner • Collaborate on the development and integration of new firm initiatives • Elevate administrative functions across the firm, promoting a culture where systems drive business success • Maintains a professional and positive work environment by facilitating effective communication and information sharing among professional, paraprofessional, management, and support staff • Participates in strategic planning process with management to identify and accomplish short- and long-term organizational goals • Prepares the organization's budget • Performs or facilitates and delegates accounting functions as needed. These may include billing, preparation of financial statements, management of reports, and collections • Consults with outside accountants for audits, preparation of tax returns, and the production of other reports as required by law • Drafts and implements operational and human resource policies and practices to ensure quality services • Assists with human resource management as needed • Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree in business (or related field) preferred. In lieu of a master's degree, 4 or more years of relevant experience may suffice • Extensive experience managing teams of over 20 individuals • Successful budget management experience exceeding $4,000,000 • Proven expertise in refining business processes and managing systems to ensure profitability • Demonstrated leadership in employee management, performance evaluation, and HR functions • Proficiency in interpreting financial reports for strategic decision-making • Effective management of external resources including bookkeepers, accountants, and technology vendors • Previous legal experience and familiarity with law firm operations • Familiarity with divorce and family law (preferred but not required) Desired Traits: • Drive change and innovation while providing solutions-oriented leadership • Maintain high energy levels and exhibit empathy combined with resilience • Display conflict resolution prowess and embrace metrics-driven, KPI-focused approaches • Collaborate effectively with the Owner and key staff on strategy and decision-making • Excel in project management and systems development for enhanced operational success • Thrive in a dynamic, growth-focused environment that values continuous improvement Remuneration: Compensation will be commensurate with experience and includes a performance-based incentive program tied to defined KPIs for firm growth, profitability, and culture enhancement.
