    ABOUT THE POSITION:

    The Vice President of Operations role will oversee management, operations, and strategic planning of our Modular division. They will ensure the overall profitability and revenue generation of the division meets or exceeds established goals. The VPO will provide direction and leadership to their team to ensure effective operations, exceptional client satisfaction, and long-term sustainable growth.

    We are seeking a strategic leader of people, developing an effective team by solving problems directly and promptly - holding others accountable and providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring. Engage with their corporate strategic partners to develop estimating, engineering, purchasing, recruiting, people management, and organizational programs that are aligned with division and company goals. The VPO will also work closely with the Senior VP of Field Operations & Safety and the division's Safety Manager to expertly manage the Production/Field workforce.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Applicants should have an expert understanding of the electrical contracting, manufacturing or general contracting world. A deep understanding of construction project management lifecycle, from business development to project closeout, and be able to identify and mitigate risks for project opportunities, positive cash position, and overall division profit margin.

    Broad spectrum of electrical product manufacturing experience.

    Understanding of manufacturing contract models.

    Experience in manufacturing standards and work methods.

     10+ years in management roles in a technical, manufacturing or construction business.

    Understanding of collective bargaining agreements and union negotiations.

    Experience structuring and negotiating construction contracts.

    Thorough knowledge of estimating, project cost accounting, scheduling, procurement, productivity tracking, and reporting principles necessary to profitably complete construction projects.

    Experience functioning in non-operational roles such as Engineering, Sales, Business Development, or Finance.

    Managing a division or organization through substantial reorganization.

    Designing or redesigning a division or an organizational structure to adapt to changing business needs and conditions.

    History of successfully managing large teams of 50 or more employees, including project management teams and union workforces.

    Extensive knowledge of data center construction.

    Extensive knowledge of electrical switchgear and its installation.
