LVN/RN Pediatric Nurses Wichita Falls and Surrounding Areas
Job Description
Pediatric Private Duty Nursing services allow either an LVN or RN to provide care to medically fragile children in the home setting. Experience is preferred, but not required. Skill requirements vary to include but not limited to: GB feedings and care, medication administration, trach care, suctioning, Bipap use, O2 administration, and nebulizer treatments.
Qualifications
1. Graduate of National League for nursing accredited school of nursing.
2. Management experience not required. Responsible for supervising hospice aides.
3. Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state.
4. Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communications; nursing skills per competency checklist.
5. Has the ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.
6. Prolonged or considerable walking or standing. Able to lift, position, and/or transfer patients. Able to lift supplies and equipment. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and/or crouching. Visual acuity and hearing to perform required nursing skills.
7. Maintains a current CPR certification.
8. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order.
9. Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
