Company Description
The nationally recognized Kinderplatz Childcare and Education Center was founded in 1985. It serves families with children ages 6 weeks through pre-k and students through 8 years of age in the summer. Licensed by the MN DHS and accredited by NAEYC since 1993, Kinderplatz can care for up to 128 children per day in its 15,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art space at Norman Pointe Office Lake Park, Bloomington. The Center uses a comprehensive learning curriculum (The Creative Curriculum) and assessment system (Teaching Strategies GOLD®), and provides music, creative movement, sign language, Spanish language instruction and other cultural enrichment programs. Teachers use intentional and developmentally appropriate teaching practices to guide children’s learning through play, using both child-guided and adult-guided experiences. Cultural enrichment, field trips, and summer soccer camp, are also a part of the program.
