Full-Time: Certified Sterile Processing Technician

Bon Secours Surgery Center at Virginia Beach is seeking a motivated Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. Bon Secours Surgery Center at Virginia Beach is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technologist cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases. SPT is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.

Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: Ortho, ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Pain

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Certifications: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician preferred
• Experience: 2 years’ Instrument Room Technician preferred
• Ability to demonstrate good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Independent decision making skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Advocate of patient safety and quality of care
