    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a MCIT -Contracts Manager. In this role, the successful candidate Partnering closely with MCIT leadership ensures that all contracts are executed to NYUs standards. Serves as the primary point of contact with internal and external parties in relation to contract management, contract compliance and contract issues; provides administration of the MCIT Sourcing and procurement contracts, agreements and associated activities. Works closely with NYU Legal and Compliance Offices to ensure MCIT is compliant with all MC policies. THE CONTRACTS MANAGER WILL ALSO LEAD, MANAGE, AND COACH THE CONTRACTS MANAGEMENT TEAM UNDER THEM. This position is responsible for the contract review of all MCIT hardware, IT systems, services and software. This person will become the resident expert on all current and new technology associated with the evaluation, selection and recommendation of all MCIT products and related services. This person will be intimately involved with the Technology staff, IT Technology Administration and Sourcing and will have a seamless and transparent role to ensure that the technical and business aspect of any MCIT endeavors are fully addressed. This role will be part of a working IT and corporate contracts team to bring forward recommendation(s) as needed for all new hardware, software technology technical services as well as to understand the market place in order to drive very favorable cost recommendation(s) including favorable terms. This person needs to be able to generate reports, graphs and articulate sound judgment on their recommendations based on meeting the technical needs for the purchase and sound financial proof on return on investment and assurance of very competitive purchase outcome.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage the contracts management process and contract management team to ensure reviews of SOWs, Master contracts, amendments, BAA's, NDA, etc are thorough and executed timely.
    • Provide leadership and clear direction to the CM staff. Works closely with MCIT & MC constituents providing a high level of customer service
    • Work with providers Legal department to draft and modify licensing, service contract terms and statements in accordance with NYULMC policies, customer specification & legal requirements
    • Collaborate with the NYULMC SCM sourcing team to ensure smooth flow of contracts, SOWs and amendments from end to end in the overall purchasing process.
    • Work with the Contract Management application team to improve the user experience of the application. Keep current with NYU leadership direction as the corporate contract system point of contact.
    • Work with the MCIT security team to verify all security concerns are addressed prior to contract award
    • Work with other stakeholders including risk management, legal, Strategic sourcing, and various users departments to ensure exceptions to the standard terms are thoroughly reviewed and approved prior to contract approval
    • Ensure we meet the SLA for reviewing masters, amendments and SOWs
    • Participates in Strategic and Operating Planning
    • Collaborate with the MCIT technical team and the technology administration to understand pending needs in the area of hardware, software, services & future technical needs.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a A master's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, AND (8) years of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the classification which must include two (4) years of management or supervision experience; Effective interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy.
