    As an INTAKE COORDINATOR, you will:

    • Identify potential payer sources and verify benefits with payer sources through various insurance portals.
    • Work with branch staff and patients to identify potential solutions as problems are identified with payer sources.
    • Entering in new/prior patient information for potential patients from internal referrals sources.
    • Review non clinical information to determine if insurance and service location is eligible. 
    • Monitor and track referral sources’ satisfaction levels. Communicate customer service issues to up-line Intake and branch staff as appropriate.
    • The position also serves as backup for the E-Referral Specialist.

    Required Skills

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of three years health care delivery or related business experience
    • Knowledge of medical terminology
    • Good personal relations/customer service focus
    • Knowledge of medical insurance in regards to benefit insurance verification
    • Effective data entry, problem-solving, and oral/written communications skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong multitasking skills
    • Basic computer skills
    • Proficient using Microsoft Excel
