Opportunity (the job): The perfect candidate is able to work independently, has a passion for learning about photography, videography, and fashion, is excited to keep up to date with the latest styling and social trends, and is detail oriented and organized. As a Part-time Photography Assistant , you will be working closely with the Creative and Photography Managers to organize the photo samples and prop libraries, prepare for photoshoots, and help on-set as needed on shoot days. This position will also be responsible for working closely with the social team to capture content at shoots to be used to create social video for platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. In addition, you will be helping periodically with local events and warehouse sales, and interfacing with the external eCommerce photo studio to coordinate photo sample shipments for photography.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Manage the flow of product through the photo shoot workflow by maintaining an organizational system for incoming photo samples, adding incoming product to the photo shoot schedule, and organizing props and samples post-photoshoot.

• Work closely with the photoshoot team to prepare for photoshoots, videoshoots, and flatlay shoots, including pulling product, steaming, prepping the set, pulling props, and printing moodboards and shot lists.

• Assist with content creation including filming vertical video during photoshoots, taking behind the scenes video and photos, and assisting with shooting flat lay images.

• Assist on-set at photo and video shoots by helping with props, wardrobe, attending to babies and nursing mothers, assisting models, and taking care of other miscellaneous tasks on set.

• Prepare packages for shipping for the marketing department and work closely with the warehouse team to assure tracking information is communicated to relevant stakeholders.

• Assist with local events, including the Warehouse Sale and other marketing events, such as the annual Latch On event.

• Assist with set up for monthly and annual manager and board meetings.

• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications: ****

• Associates or technical degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience.

• Experience working with photography, videography, and/or social content creation preferred.

• Proficient in using a digital SLR camera.

• Working knowledge of LightRoom.

• Knack for styling the latest fashion trends.

• Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to perform heaving lifting (up to 50 pounds) and stand for several hours at a time.
