WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR A 2ND/3RD SHIFT FLEXOGRAPHIC PRESS OPERATORS AT OUR MILWAUKEE FACILITY.

SUMMARY

Responsible for setting up and operating of flexographic printing press to produce final printed product that meets quality expectations and production efficiencies as set forth by the customer and the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Set up, operate, and maintain multi-color flexo presses to print and convert a wide range of products from pressure sensitive labels to sheeted tags. Performing all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as mounting plates, installing cylinders  checks for correct positioning of images, adjusting tension and register etc.  Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work. Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required. Performs periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer.

Requires knowledge of flexo printing procedures, materials, equipment and safety requirements, and skills to perform assignments.  Skill to read and understand job specifications to determine press materials needed to run the job successfully.  Must have sufficient knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate use of the press and corrective adjustments required to run efficiently, Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment. 

Responsible for the understanding and compliance to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to: Safety, Quality, and Workmanship/Productivity.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  High School Education, GED or equivalent. Knowledge of flexo press techniques used in printing to produce finished printed materials preferred.
