    APPLICATION SYSTEM DEVELOPER - PROGRESS

    The Application System Developer reports directly to the Manager of Development and Integration and is considered a key position on the IT Development team.  Position is responsible for development and escalated support of customizations, integrations and reports that are key to the success of the company.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience on moderate to complex IT projects in a developer/programmer capacity utilizing the Progress OpenEdge technology stack

    • Proficient in Progress OpenEdge Advanced Business Language (ABL)

    • Knowledge of the QAD environment

    • Ability to document application designs

    • Demonstrated use of application development methodologies

    • Demonstrated ability to design, document and perform testing strategies for application enhancements

    • Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office software

    • Bachelor’s Degree in management information systems, computer science or related field

     

     

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledge of IT processes within the global automotive environment a plus
    • Knowledge of the QAD environment including QAD ERP (SE and EE), EAM, Qxtend, QAD Reporting Framework, QAD Financial APIs, ICT
    • Knowledge of QAD partner solutions including Eagle, TailorPro, CyberQuery Enterprise Reporting
    • Strong understanding of the value of excellent customer service and service delivery.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, team building and communication skills
