    +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | The DevOps Engineer role incorporates two core areas: ADMINISTRATION OF | | CLOUD SOLUTIONS and MAINTENANCE AND MONITORING OF CLOUD APPLICATIONS. | |  Successful candidates will demonstrate proven experience in front end | | development, manage enterprise software solutions, and communicate | | effectively across varied levels of technical understanding.  Time spent | | in each of these areas will vary according to workload. | | | | CLOUD APPLICATION ADMINISTRATION DUTIES (70% ANNUALLY): | | | | - Execute on a strong functional understanding of Saas-based and | | client/server core technologies including, but not limited to: | | Amazon Web Services, Chef, MSSQL, PostGresSQL, Windows Server, | | Linux, varied web application servers, and IP networking. | | - Manage a broad scope of deployed Cloud solutions, from the OS level | | to the client GUI. | | - Keep current on company’s core ECM products via ongoing internal | | training and use. | | - Manage/maintain AWS infrastructure using Opsworks/Chef/RDS to ensure | | proper deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of our products. | | - Proven experience with web application management including, but not | | limited to: HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Apache, NGINX, Ruby, and Python. | | | | CLOUD MAINTENANCE AND MONITORING DUTIES (30% ANNUALLY): | | | | - Work closely with Product Support and Development resources to | | ensure proper environment deployment, high operating efficiency, and | | seamless onboarding of new solutions/products. | | - Work flexible hours to mitigate the impact to production systems | | within the course of a service-impacting outage. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+

    Required Skills Required Experience +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Minimum Qualifications: | | | | - Clear, concise communications style. | | - Experience managing enterprise systems in Amazon Web Services, | | specifically utilizing Opsworks stacks, RDS database management, S3, | | and Cloudfront. | | - Proven aptitude for absorbing detailed technical content, and for | | staying current with new product developments. | | - Past work with setup/maintenance of system monitoring software such | | as Nagios, New Relic, and Logic Monitor. | | - Proven experience with web application management including: | | | | - Experience with Linux (Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, and Centos). | | - Previous work with PostGresSQL database management. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+

  • Qualifications
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, manuals, schematics and blueprints including, but not limited to, ladder logic, electronic prints, general plant wiring, manufacturers' schematic and pneumatic diagrams.
    • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
    • Ability to apply mathematics skill at first year university level such as differential calculus and introductory statistics.
    • Mechanical aptitude required to set-up, operate and troubleshoot machinery.
    • Ability to operate a cutting torch or welding equipment preferred.
    • Must be able to communicate with vendors, suppliers and/or internal support personnel by providing necessary, accurate and detailed information.
    • Must be able to work independently and/or as part of a team.
    • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as needed. Position is currently assigned to second shift.
