Camp Counselor
Job Purpose:
Kinetic Sports club seeks individuals responsible for providing leadership, ensuring the safety of all camp participants and the direct supervision of children in all planned activities. As a camp counselor, you will lead or assist campers of all ages in camp activities.
Camp Counselors report directly to the Camp Manager.
Areas of Commitment:
Provide a safe and healthy environment for all campers
Attend all Kinetic Sports Club staff meetings and trainings
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure all campers are aware of the rules and daily scheduled activities
Teach fundamental skills to youth while emphasizing skill development, fair play, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun
Maintain and care of all KSC sports equipment
Ensure equal playing time for all players
Be on time to all scheduled programming or find a replacement at a reasonable time
Provide a safe environment for all youth
Report all suspicions of child abuse to proper authorities.
Report all accidents to the Director, once proper accident/incident forms are completed.
Be responsible for the children until they are turned over to a parent or guardian before leaving assigned station
Acts as a culture ambassador in justifying principle based decision making and modelling behaviors at all times that are in support of our pillars.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have some training and experience. They must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with young campers, parents and associates. This individual should have a desire to work with children, and possess skills such as enthusiasm, patience, organization, maturity, and dependability.
Must possess current CPR & First Aid certification
May be required to sit, stand or maintain physical activity for extended periods of time
