We have an immediate opening for a Design Engineer.

DESIGN ENGINEER

Designs, develops, or modifies products, applying engineering principles. Responsible for researching and developing ideas and processes for new components and assemblies. Locates and approves vendors for new processes. Oversees and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical products and systems. Analyzes current designs for ways to improve performance. Determines nature of technical problems and possible solutions, such as product redesign, substitution of material or parts, or rearrangement of parts or sub-assemblies.

JOB DUTIES:

• Creates and maintains designs for components, sub-assemblies and finished product.
• Specify materials, tolerances and manufacturing processes.
• Testing, Validation and Tuning of product.
• Design custom kits to meet customer specifications.
• Design and fabricate any needed brackets or fixtures.
• Document design decisions and changes.
• Create 3D models and drawings of designs.
• Manage projects from design to initial production.
• Ensure all designs meet company standards for performance and durability.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of Engineering experience.
• Product Design Experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD, Solid Works.
• Automotive experience (work or hobby related) is a plus
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.
• Excellent writing and verbal skills.
• Able to pass pre-employment testing.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE /EXPERIENCE:

• Motorsport experience a plus.
• Formal Mechanic training/experience.
• Off-road background a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
