    Job Description

    The Business Specialist will assist Business Managers in product planning and executing core product strategies. Responsibility will include coordinating product launches, creating product education content, maintaining product roadmaps and schedules. Support Business Managers to ensure the overall goals for product strategies are met, and work with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure product marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals. In addition to the following Essential Functions, other related duties may be assigned.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Assist Business Managers to define and execute the product strategy.
    • Work with Business Managers in updating the Product Definition for new product launches and ensure product launches remain on schedule.
    • In conjunction with Product Management, maintain and communicate the product roadmap and new product end-of-life timelines to Sales and other necessary departments.
    • Monitor competitive product landscape, maintain and report information on competitive products.
    • Act as initial contact for Sales teams on product inquiries.
    • Work with Marketing Operations and Product Marketing teams to develop sales presentations and marketing tools.
    • Assist in educating Sales teams on new products and product roadmap updates.
    • Monitor daily product sell-through and pricing to remain current on market trends.
    • Support Business Managers with report creation, market research and product sell-through analysis.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Four years of sales and/or marketing experience, at least two years of experience within a computer hardware business.
    • Two years of product management experience, coordinating product launches, knowledge of product launch best practices and technical specifications.
    • Knowledge of computer industry corporate and alliance marketing, national marketing and channel distribution sales and marketing principles and practices.
    • Comprehensive understanding of sales and educational incentives, brand campaigns and promotions, as well as, advertising, trade shows, direct mail and electronic mail marketing promotional techniques and practices.
    • Highly proficient in utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as desktop publishing and graphics software programs.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to successfully manage multiple responsibilities and complete work in accordance with deadlines.
    • Must have attention to detail to complete tasks with thoroughness and accuracy.
    • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communicate skills with strong customer service principles.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and external business representatives.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, sales, marketing or related field.

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:

    • Business travel may be required.
