Teacher Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of KCLC teachers vary depending on the age and abilities of their children.

Create a fun classroom management environment.

• Prepare lessons and learning through play.

• Establish intentional teaching based on the learning objectives of each child.

• Promote social emotional skills that support confidence and mindfulness.

• Assess developmentally appropriate materials and developmental goals for each child.

Teachers Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to develop theme based lesson plans that allow the children experiences in the 5 domains.
• Ability to bring literacy ALIVE with children individually and collectively.
• Ability to observe early learning developmental standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Teacher Experience Requirements

• Complete 21 hours of continuing educational each year.

• Current CPR/First Aid Certification

• Minimum High School with 2+ years of classroom experience

• Prefer CDA, Associates and Bachelors in Early Childhood + Experience in the classroom at a DHS Licensed facility.

• Prefer experience working in a 3 Star Rated DHS Center.

PAY IS BASED ON EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE.
