FORENSIC ACCOUNTANT
A boutique forensic accounting firm in the Coachella Valley is adding to our team.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
· Forensic account experience required: economic loss, damage calculations, family law, business valuation, etc.
· Solid knowledge of accounting theory, auditing theory and valuation theory and practice
· General business, accounting or relevant financial experience
· General knowledge of accounting systems and industries
· Ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team
· Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, including on the telephone
· Possess excellent internet research skills
· Possess excellent excel skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Analytical abilities
· Working knowledge of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and financial transactions
· Capable of balancing multiple projects and other responsibilities
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Analyze source documents; extract relevant information and summarize data
· Prepare concise, user-friendly schedules using excel and correspondence using word
· Review and verify source documents
· Demonstrate ability to explain calculations and analytical reasoning
· Provide timely and consistent updates on the progress of work assignments
· Prepare narrative explanations of work performed for reports
· Anticipate the next steps in a project, and suggest methods and solutions
