    HR Manager

    A critical partner to the VP, Human Resources, the HR Manager will implement programs, policies and procedures for the company to achieve the challenging growth targets that will deliver bottom line results. He/she will be experienced in progressive HR strategies and tactics.

    · Coordinates the staffing activities for hourly and salaried positions, including but not limited to recruitment, candidate screening and selection, hiring, and retention. Attends job fairs and key recruiting events. Ensures the recruitment and hiring activities are conducted in a manner consistent with company policies.

    · Develop and administer the Company’s orientation program.

    · Manages the implementation of and ongoing compliance to human resources policies and procedures to meet organizational needs and comply with local, state, and federal laws including, but not limited to, EEOC, ADAAA, FMLA, FCRA, USERRA, ERISA, ACA, Title VII, I9, and FLSA. Monitors state and local laws to ensure ongoing compliance.

    · Assist in completing accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing.

    · Reviews policies and procedures to address human resources needs that are not covered within the scope of company-wide policies, including but not limited to policies related to state and local laws, hourly attendance and vacation, shift hours and overtime, job bidding and job training.

    · Measure and propose initiatives to enhance relations between management and employees, while ensuring protection of company interests and rights. Takes an active role in continually improving the effectiveness of leadership and supervision staff as it relates to maintaining satisfactory employee relations.

    · Assists in developing and delivering employee communications.

    · Advises VP HR on employee and labor relations issues, including the consistent and effective administration of employee discipline.

    · Participates in workforce investigations related to employee complaints and suspected misconduct.

    · Maintains administration of hourly employee compensation systems that are legally compliant, competitive, and aligned with company financial, hiring, and retention goals.

    · Assist the VP HR with salaried performance management process and merit-based pay increases.

    · Administers and supports the health and welfare and retirement plans, including the open enrollment process and providing related employee education and support.

    · Ensures HR systems and records, including those related to personnel, compensation, and benefits are accurate and are maintained in an organized and legally compliant manner.

    · Develops and implements effective and efficient training programs to meet goals and employee development needs. Participates in the delivery and administration of some training programs.

     

    PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    · Minimum 5 years of experience in a respected company, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree a plus.

    · Ability to evaluate and develop talent and be a catalyst in increasing the level of talent within an organization.

    · Ability to drive change within an organization; ability to influence and advise leadership by providing valuable, forward thinking HR guidance, decision making, coaching, counseling, etc. at a partner level. Must also be “hands-on” and detail oriented.

    · Demonstrated experience in having a point of view, articulating it and working within the team to create solutions to issues.

    · Strategic or critical thinking skills as well as the ability to implement effectively.

    · Ability to leverage shared resources and develop new tools to move the agenda forward.
