Job Description
The CEO develops and executes management strategies and establishes policies that promote company culture and vision throughout the casino organization and its properties. Primary responsibilities of the CEO include leadership management of all business units and their key executives, strategically analyzing the forces driving revenue, profitability and company growth. The CEO develops and guides the leadership team in assessing and implementing the strategic plan of the organization, in collaboration with the COO, CFO, Senior Management Team and/or General Managers. The CEO is tasked with creating and facilitating short- and long-term strategic plans and establishing key initiatives, authorizing change management, achieving financial objectives, and supporting cultural changes aligned with Kiowa Casinos’ overall business objectives. The CEO will prioritize achieving the organization’s financial and customer service goals by delivering action plans focused on outstanding service that is client focused and efficient. The CEO establishes the leadership framework and organizational success by promoting a company culture that delivers excellent customer service in a respectful environment and recognizes Team Members’ achievements, reflecting the mission, vision, and values of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma.
Provide strategic direction and oversight of the key leaders of all casino properties to ensure all business units are operating in a sound and fiscally responsible manner in order to attain established long-term goals and to promote tribal objectives.
Periodically and annually, ensure that the individual casino property plans and programs are developed, monitored, adjusted and executed successfully, in collaboration with other Executive Team Members.
Directly supervise the CFO and other executive team leaders who manage annual Budgets, optimizing revenues in applicable departments, and formulating long-term action plans that can achieve annual revenue and customer service goals.
Direct and support Best Practices throughout the organization, in order to ensure adherence to internal controls and financial reporting requirements, legal compliance across all departments, and ongoing continuous improvements across all properties.
Evaluate business intelligence, marketing initiatives, slot revenues, and other key metrics, collaborating with internal executive team members to focus on implementing plans that improve financial performance, support operational efficiencies, and safeguard company assets.
Oversee all business activities to ensure positive results, consistent with the overall vision and mission of the organization, ensuring annual objectives, performance and productivity are aligned within each department.
Define the strategy for the entity and executive team, motivating and leading them to achieve stated goals.
Recommend policies, procedures, controls, or casino campaigns to ensure cost savings, adequate staffing, and the launch of projects and processes that can achieve key milestones.
Identify new product or business opportunities, or related offerings that can contribute to the bottom line.
Directly guide any future development needs of the tribal gaming operations and deliver proven strategies and vital leadership direction for both the combined and individual casino operations, keeping abreast of the increasingly competitive environment of the tribal gaming industry.
Establish open and effective lines of communication with tribal authorities and all other applicable gaming regulatory agencies.
Support open and effective lines of communication and streamline reporting functions within each property, guiding and collaborating to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, policies, processes, and personnel, ideally designed to meet or exceed goals and objectives.
Professionally represent the entity’s gaming operations to the business community, media, customers, outside organizations, and the general public, as needed.
Travel to attend meetings, ceremonies, seminars, trade shows, employee recognition events and celebrations to promote the goodwill of the tribe, the organization and its operations.
Establish positive business relationships internally and externally, and model professionalism and full compliance with the organization’s Internal Controls, SOPs, Policies & Procedures, applicable Gaming Requirements and Regulations.
Perform other duties, as expected in a key leadership capacity, utilizing managerial core competencies and proven business strategies in the gaming industry.
