KIOXIA is looking for passionate and driven students from all disciplines and beyond to be a part of our summer internship. We offer an invigorating program where interns will be contributing to projects with meaningful outcomes – this is not a coffee and copy internship. Our Internship runs eight weeks during the summer between June and August and is open to students with a minimum of two years of college. While our goal is to groom a talent pool of future engineers we cannot guarantee an internship will transition to full-time position – but you never know!

Job Description KIOXIA is looking for 1 (one) Software Engineer Intern. The Summer Intern will work with the Principal Architect and Engineering team of the Memory and Storage Strategy Division (MSSD) to develop software that enables cloud/hyper-scale storage solutions for some of the largest internet companies in the world. You will be responsible for development of host software consisting of reference storage solutions and software development kits for open source platforms. You work with the latest solid state storage devices and future innovative memory and storage media to enable our storage devices to thrive in a software-defined world. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with a team delivering solutions to hyper-scale internet companies and the open source industry (including the Linux Memory/Storage Sub System communities)
• Develop and contribute to solutions which includes both software and hardware components.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of the C programming language
• Familiarity with Linux software development tools (compilers, debuggers, source code control)
• Familiar with open source industry and the open source community development process
• Basic knowledge of how storage systems are used by software applications
• Good written and excellent verbal communication.
• Good problem solving techniques
