Job Description

KIOXIA America Inc., formerly Toshiba America Inc., is looking for 1 (one) SOFTWARE ENGINEERING INTERN in our San Jose, CA office. The intern will work in the Solutions Engineering group in the KumoScale business unit, which is a well-resourced internal “startup” within KIOXIA. Our mission is to deliver software that enables cloud datacenter operators to consume very high performance flash storage as a cloud-native service. KumoScale is a new product, in a new category, in a very fast-moving domain. Many of the technologies that are important in our ecosystem did not exist 24 months ago, and KumoScale is evolving rapidly too – there’s a high “newness” factor in every release.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with building storage solutions for Cloud Native and bare metals Infrastructure.
• Review and automate performance tests.
• Document and suggest improvements to test process.
• Deploy Kubernetes and Linux servers.
• Write Helm charts and other tooling to automate deployment
• Program in Python and Bash for deployment.
• Program in Go for creating Kubernetes custom resources.

QUALIFICATION:

• Basic Understanding of Linux, Networking and Storage protocols.
• Familiar with Kubernetes
• Ability to program in Python, Javascript, and/or Go
• Familiriaty with Networking and Storage protocols.
• Prefer Masters level and above
