Job Description

KIOXIA America Inc. is seeking a recent college graduate or someone who has a few years of experience to join our Application Performance Lab.  KIOXIA makes great SSDs, and the lab goal is to show off these products. The lab gets the newest server and networking gear, and uses that to build interesting projects. The lab team uses the latest in software to show off technical configurations at industry events and trade shows, make video content, work with Youtube personalities, give technical talks, and works with a writing team to create white papers on applications and performance. This position requires a unique blend of technical and marketing skills. The candidate will work on a variety of technical activities, including competitive analysis of SSDs, server setup, application testing and tuning, and creating technical trade show demonstrations and videos. The candidate will need to be willing to be on camera, to speak in front of crowds and give presentations over zoom or other virtual events. Other marketing activities include assisting in writing white papers, infographics, blog posts and other content, traveling to attend trade shows, presenting to customers and other marketing related activities. In this position, you will gain an in-depth knowledge of KIOXIA’s products as well as coding, server and networking hardware and software, virtualization, GPU based AI & machine learning software, data center applications, software defined storage, and other technical hardware and software knowledge to meet the requirements of the business. This is a multifaceted position that requires a willingness to learn new and constantly evolving technology, and the creativity to develop new solutions to technical problems. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lab Technical Activities
• Benchmark SSD performance, analyze test results and determine KIOXIA SSD performance requirements
• Setup servers and network equipment for testing widely used datacenter and enterprise applications
• Perform application level testing of storage and document setup and performance for creating Application Briefs and other technical papers
• Provide exceptional marketing and technical support to external customers and internal cross-functional teams such as product marketing, product planning, product development, customer support, and sales

MARKETING ACTIVITIES

• Work with marketing teams to create and present compelling technical marketing collateral which showcases the technology and benefits of KIOXIA SSDs
• Build and present demonstrations at trade shows and other public events
• Create demo videos of technical demonstrations for social media promotions
• Attend and support customer, partner, and industry events

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a technical role
• BA/BS/MS degree in Computer Science, MIS/MSIS, or comparable field
• Experience with C or C++ desired. Python, shell scripting or cuda experience is helpful
• Familiarity with SSD’s and storage-related technologies, including PCIe, NVMe, and NAND Flash memory desirable
• Ability to work well autonomously and within diverse, multi-cultural teams
