Job Description
As a Sr. Product Manager on the SSD marketing team, you will work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, operations and management to drive product awareness and design wins for KIOXIA enterprise SSD products. You will be responsible for setting the product’s strategic vision in addition to optimizing the product's market position and financial returns consistent with corporate key initiatives. You will understand customer ecosystems, applications, have insight into their challenges and how to solve them.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As the “go to person” for your product line, you will be a key contributor towards developing product strategy, roadmaps, technical and business plans for next-generation Enterprise SSDs
- Establish trust in leading marketing, sales, engineering and support teams within KIOXIA to design win success of the product line
- Drive customer and market trend technical requirements into market requirement documents for next-generation product development
- Own the product lifecycle management for your SSD products
- Build and implement the go-to-market strategy for your SSD products
- Analyze market trends and competitive products, understand the competition’s value-positioning, and devise product strategies to win against the competition
- Provide product and market centric content for KIOXIA and customer marketing collateral
- Be the subject matter expert for your product…evangelize your product and the company’s SSD vision with analysts, media and at industry events
- Own customer RFQ/RFI responses for your product line
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required – Business/Marketing/Engineering (or related field) - MBA preferred
- 5+ years in technical product management at a high-technology company (preferred)
- Good grasp of current and future SSD architectures, features and NAND flash memory
- Understanding of NVMe infrastructures in server and storage ecosystems
- Experience within the storage industry across Private/Public Cloud, NAS/SAN/Object storage systems a plus
- Able to synthesize complex technical, financial and market information into strategies and differentiated product and feature definitions
- Strong interpersonal skills, including working with people from diverse backgrounds, geographical locations and expertise
- Experience working with and nurturing OEM and datacenter customer relationships from technologist, product management, engineering to procurement
- Ability to communicate highly-technical and business topics to appropriate audience
- Executive level presentation capabilities, skilled at both creation and delivery
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, think critically, prioritize product development despite uncertainty and organize data sets into actionable game plans
- Ability to travel ~25% domestic and international
