Job Description
KIOXIA America Inc., formerly Toshiba Memory America Inc., is looking for a MSSD Applications Engineer. You will be working as a bridge between customers and engineering teams to best integrate our solutions. You will also collaborate, develop, test and implement complex software programs and applications while providing technical support and expertise to customers, testing applications, responding to customer feedback, installations, maintenance and often performing marketing presentations and demonstrations. As the interface between the customer and our engineering team you will provide data and feedback to design engineering for product improvements.
This role reports to the SR DIRECTOR, TECHNOLOGY, MSSD.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide design and specification development support to customer and synthesize customer feedback to design engineering internally.
- Perform technical/product training for architects and engineers at targeted accounts.
- Develop applications that effectively accomplish client objectives and user needs
- Design and write code for applications
- Analyze and edit existing computer applications to improve functionality
- Remodel and adapt applications as needed to optimize performance
- Test applications extensively to ensure they are error and bug free
- Act as a technical advisor to all departments
- Maintain computer applications databases
- Customize specialized applications according to client needs
- Create and present application prototypes
- Collaborate with engineering and programming departments
- Contribute to sales presentations showcasing all technical features and processes
- Maintain positive client relationships
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years’ experience as an applications engineer
- Extensive knowledge in various programming languages (C/C++, Java, Perl, Python, etc.)
- Strong customer service skills
- Sales and marketing experience a plus
- Ability to handle client and customer issues tactfully and professionally
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s in computer engineering, computer science, or related field
