    Job Description

    KIOXIA America Inc. is looking to hire a Learning and Development Specialist to participate in the design, development and facilitate the delivery of courses as well as manage training metrics and resources in support of the company’s overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the growth and development of team members and leaders at KIOXIA America, Inc. You will create learning plans designed to deliver the most effective learning events to drive our values and strengthen critical skills, knowledge, and capabilities, as well as serve as a presenter for learning sessions. This position will partner with management and subject matter experts across cross-functional teams to maintain focus on employee performance to drive business results. Customer focus is key to success in this position. We are looking for someone who is self-directed, has exemplary facilitation skills for audiences of all sizes, both virtually and in-person, and a genuine passion for promoting a culture of continuous learning This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and is a 6-12 month term working part-time, about 30 hours a week. RESPONSIBILITIES:

       SERVE AS A LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (DRIVES RESULTS)

    • Present Material at learning sessions, using training/instructional methods appropriate for learning (e.g., in-person and virtual delivery of effective meetings, training, webinars, etc.)
    • Gather relevant information on content, audience, and learning outcomes that will assist with the design, development and roll-out of learning content including delivery of courses
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement with an emphasis on performance metrics, including behavioral change and business results. Develop effective assessments and reviews

       PROVIDE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SUPPORT (CUSTOMER FOCUS & COLLABORATION)

    • Consult with mid to upper level business leaders, subject matter experts, and other Human Capital team members
    • Provide effective learning solutions in collaboration with KIOXIA’s HR Business Partner to achieve our vision of evolving into a learning organization at all levels of the company
    • Manage and maintain training schedule

       COMMUNICATIONS AND REPORTING

    • Design communication materials for the purpose of promoting new courses or other learning events and newsletters
    • Measure and analyze effectiveness of learning and performance improvement solutions; provide report with recommendations for increasing effectiveness of sessions and/or programs

    REQUIREMENTS

    • SELF-DEVELOPMENT– Display a clear desire to learn and gain new knowledge. Must be self-driven when tackling new problems using both successes and failures as learning.
    • SITUATIONAL ADAPTABILITY - Manage multiple tasks and handle changing priorities and deadlines with flexibility and positivity. Anticipate team needs, internal customer needs and act with the customer in mind.
    • DECISION QUALITY –Display agility of thought in connecting learning objectives to the audience and the appropriate delivery method to ensure “stickiness” of learning outcomes. Know when to escalate situations as needed.
    • TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED - Proficiency in document management using tools such as the LMS(Cornerstone), Microsoft Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Teams, SharePoint) and Adobe Captivate to ensure training record accuracy
    • Strong attention to detail and prioritization, organization skills
    • Bachelor’s Degree in organizational development, Instructional Design, Adult Learning or related discipline or equivalent experience
    • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills
    • 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3+ years and a Master's degree

    PREFERRED

    • Post-graduate degree
    • Facilitation or Technical Training Certificate: ATD, CompTIA or other accredited institution
    • Experience in Cornerstone On Demand (e.g., Learning Management and Performance Management)
