    Job Description

    KIOXIA America Inc., formerly Toshiba Memory America Inc., is looking for a Staff Verification Engineer in our eSSD R&D deepartment. The ideal candidate will be contributing actively to the overall verification effort of the enterprise Solid State Drive (SSD) controller System-on-Chip. Under the supervision of the project leader, he will participate to the definition and the deployment of the verification methodology. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for the verification of one or more of the controller sub-systems. This activity will involve the development of a verification plan, in collaboration with the design and architecture teams, the definition and implementation of the verification platform, and the coordination of the verification activity.

    This role reports to the SR DIRECTOR, DESIGN, SSDD BU.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Participate to the definition and deployment of the verification methodology
    • Take responsibility in the verification of the SSD controller blocks, sub-systems and top-level
    • Development of the verification IPs and integration in the verification platform
    • Definition of the verification plan in collaboration with the design and architecture teams
    • Implementation of the functional coverage metrics in accordance to the verification plan
    • Development of the regression suite to satisfy coverage targets
    • Execution of the regression suite and analysis of the results
    • Identification of reported failures and interaction with designers for corrective actions
    • Maintenance and support of the verification platform

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 7+ years of SoC/ASIC verification experience
    • Hands on experience using UVM
    • SSD controller experience is preferred
    • PCIe and NVMe experience is a plus
    • Good knowledge on AXI/AHB is a plus
    • Good communication skills

    EDUCATION:

    • BS, MS, or PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related equivalent
