JOB DESCRIPTION
As EMR Product Manager you will be responsible for designing product features and enhancements, communicating requirements to development, and managing the overall product development process. To be successful, this individual is required to possess or acquire a solid understanding of the existing features and functionality of the KipuEMR, an understanding of end-user workflow, a knack for problem-solving, and a passion for bringing vision to reality. This is a highly visible position within the Kipu Product Team and provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Scope, and manage new product features and enhancements from concept through delivery
- Collaborate with customers and service teams for needs assessment, understanding of end-user workflows, project definition, and in-progress demonstrations
- Translate and conceptualize user and market needs into product requirements and scope user stories for development, including acceptance criteria and UI/UX expectations
- Work with Product Management and Engineering teams to manage work-in-progress and ensure project is adhering to scope, schedule, and quality requirements
- Day to day management of issues, risks, and change requests to ensure successful and timely deliverables
- Iteratively test and refine new features to ensure acceptance criteria and optimal user experience
- Review, evaluate and prioritize requests from staff and end-users
- Participate in the planning and prioritization of Product Roadmap
- Manage customer expectations with professionalism and diplomacy
- Leverage product knowledge to troubleshoot situations that have been escalated
- Work across internal teams, including Training, Sales, and Service, to communicate and educate on new features and enhancements being released
- Coach and mentor team members on best practices, encouraging teamwork, innovation and excellence
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- 4-5 years software product management experience within a cloud-based system
- Health care software or other relevant industry experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience working with development teams to manage complex projects from concept to delivery
- Demonstrated ability to listen, understand, and translate the needs of internal and external customers into well-defined product specs
- Ability to strategize, prioritize and manage diverse projects on the product roadmap
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collectively, exhibiting professionalism and sound judgement
- Ability to handle multiple-projects and priorities, with a smile, in a fast-paced, customer focused environment
- Curiosity to learn new things and humility to collaborate with teammates for perspectives
- Proficiency with Atlassian, Jira and/or other product management tools
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study
