RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews and consults on management practices to ensure fair and consistent treatment of employees and that KIRCHHOFF Automotive Atlanta is in compliance with all relevant legislation and corporate policies and procedures.
Administers and processes full cycle Hourly and Salary Payroll for the plant, including, time and attendance paychecks, W2s, garnishments etc.
Administers and processes benefits for all employees, handle all benefit concerns
Responsible for full-cycle recruitment of all hourly and salary positions and hiring process at KIRCHHOFF Automotive Atlanta from, posting of positions, reviewing resumes, setting up interviews, generating offers and processing all new hire paperwork
Responsible for tracking all training at the plant and providing training or coordinating outside training
Oversees health, safety, environmental compliance including workers compensation.
Responsible for ordering and processing all invoices for HR
Responsible for maintaining plant monitor displays and front lobby area visitor logs
Responsible for ordering business cards and printing of newsletters and distribution
Responsible for rolling out all company employee projects
Researches and benchmarks other organizations to gather relevant data to establish best practices within the organization (e.g., shift premiums).
Plans and coordinates all employee engagement events
Makes travel arrangements for visitors to plant
Coordinate and order lunch for all customer visits and employee luncheons
Tracks all attendance of the plant and administers point system and discipline and generates attendance reports daily
Coordinates partnerships with local colleges and chamber
Orders all company shirts, new hire gifts
Administers all leave for the plant
Administers all worker compensation claims, tracks all safety data for the plant and conducts safety audits
Conducts safety training for the plant and coordinates internal and outside safety training
Assists in creating an environment where there is respect and dignity in the workplace for all employees by providing management with the necessary tools that will assist them in dealing with managing people (i.e. external seminars, internal training workshops).
Attends management meetings to field questions regarding HR matters and provides information/counsel as needed.
Conducts employee focus groups to solicit feedback on particular issues and/or concerns and compiles report and/or analysis with recommendations to management.
Produces and develops reports on workforce demographics that help to understand KIRCHHOFF Automotive’s culture and provides recommendations as to how it can be improved.
Responsible for creating and generating weekly KPI reports on, attendance, recruiting, training, turnover, and headcount via spreadsheets
Conducts exit interviews with employees who voluntarily leave the organization and compiles periodic summary report on results.
Administers and reviews current performance appraisal process and makes recommendations on enhancements.
Revises and maintains an updated benefits, policies and procedures manual.
Develops and implements a compensation plan to include bonuses, incentives, reward and recognition.
Oversees the disciplinary function to ensure equitable and consistent applications.
Any other reasonable request made by management.
Contributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to.
Ensures he/she is in full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, while representing KIRCHOFF Automotive Atlanta or during the use of any KIRCHHOFF Automotive Atlanta provided equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience (provide details and minimum # of years required)
Minimum 5 years management and 10 years HR experience in a Manufacturing setting
Sound knowledge of the federal and state employment laws
Understanding of the automotive/manufacturing industry
Intermediate Excel and Power Point skills
Experience with full-cycle recruiting
Experience processing payroll
Minimum 2 – 4 years administering workers compensation and safety
· Skills (language, technical, computer etc.)
