    HOW YOUR ROLE FITS INTO BOLDT:

    The Director of Business Development for National Healthcare will lead and be responsible for the relational development and shaping of targeted clients and the award of profitable new business in the Healthcare sector, while maintaining specific client relationships and developing new or enhanced avenues of revenue for the future. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining strategic client relationships and serving as a visible & respected leader of the company when interacting with clients, the community, industry partners, suppliers and employees. The role is also responsible for maintaining extensive knowledge of current healthcare market projections and trends within the sector. This position is accountable for working closely with both operations and marketing staff in establishing and executing business and marketing plans, ensuring each meet company standards, and supported by the vital business functions and processes to ensure a successful outcome. The Director of Business Development, National Healthcare will also focus on expanding the company’s modular and prefabricated building solutions as they relate to the modernization of construction and the entry of these solutions into the healthcare building sector.

    Required Skills

    WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

    External Business Development (80%):

    • Promote Boldt’s services, image and brand with clients, community, industry partners and organizations.
    • Identify, develop and maintain strategic client, A/E (architect/engineer), and industry specialist relationships.
    • Attend defined and productive industry events, conferences, tradeshows and AEC events with the goal of cultivating relationships for future business opportunities.
    • Develop a strategic action plan to continually work with targeted clients and professional services providers in the industry.
    • Play an active role in the broader healthcare industry community, including active participation in strategic professional and community organizations.
    • Provide leadership in problem resolution and seek continuous feedback from clients through a variety of methods.
    • Identify, develop strategy for, and pursue targeted clients and projects for both short and long term success of Boldt’s operating group, including collaborating and assisting in “local” pursuits as appropriate.

    Develop, Execute & Manage Business Development Strategy (20%):

    • Develop and execute business development plans for assigned market, ensuring that annual sales, client development and retention targets are met or exceeded.
    • Lead qualification, proposal and interview efforts with appropriate marketing and operational teams.
    • Use fiscally sound judgment to manage business development budget; analyzing and controlling expenditures to conform to budget requirements; including, recommending or approving the budget, expenditures, implementing ways to improve operational efficiencies, providing accurate reports, continuously reviewing return on investment and budget performance, etc.
    • Organize and lead client and/or market specific meetings, reports and action plans.
    • Maintain market and competitor intelligence in primary and secondary markets.
    • Review, develop, and establish “standard work”, metrics/benchmarks and guidelines to measure progress and drive the group towards continued success.
    • Coordinate with corporate and divisional marketing teams on brand strategies, messaging and public relations (i.e. trade publications, speaking engagements, award submissions, etc.)
    • Utilize and maintain an accurate and updated reporting structure in the company’s CRM application, tracking opportunities and relationships.
    • This position may also include other duties as assigned.

    Required Experience

    WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

    • 10 – 15 years in business development, sales, or related field
    • Proven involvement in community and/or AEC organizations
    • 4-year degree in Construction Engineering/Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related field; MBA or related master’s level degree is preferred
    • Travel is related to project pursuits, client development, and networking opportunities
    • Marketing/business development and relationship management skills
    • Effective communication and presentation skills
    • Interpersonal adaptability, along with the ability to connect with a variety of individuals, both internally and externally
    • Successful track record of achieving client development and retention goals.
    • Demonstrate strategic thinking by contributing to vision, business development strategies and systems to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Practice leadership by demonstrating a strong commitment to serve others, while maintaining a steady focus on outcomes.
    • Lead change by modeling and reinforcing a continuous improvement of Boldt’s innovative culture.
    • Demonstrate sound financial management by identifying ways to enhance revenues to achieve operational and corporate goals.
    • Position is remote with access and ease for air travel.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The ability to optimally communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds.

    The working conditions of this position requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.
