- Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Collection of health history and documentation made in computer
- Obtain vital signs
- Place patients in exam rooms
- Assist physicians in room when nurse is not available
- Clean instruments as needed- take to and pick up from central processing
- Assists with transporting patients to hospital if needed
- Assists with ordering of supplies and stocking as needed
- Scheduling surgery, MRI, ultrasounds, x-rays, procedures, pre-op etc.
- Obtain authorization and/or precertification for surgeries, MRI, ultrasounds, x-rays, procedures, etc.
- Schedule referrals
- Provides support to front office personnel. Answer phones
- Schedule office appointments when needed
- Demonstrates a willingness to perform the duties of other departmental personnel when workload requires.
- Assist other practices within Dillon as needed with similar duties when workload allows
- Performs all other duties assigned by provider and practice administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS /TRAINING:
- Needs to have completed training through a certified CMA program
- Needs to obtain BLS
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS/EDUCATION:
- CMA (National Board certification required)
- Minimum of a high school diploma/equivalent from an accredited school
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly
