The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the community maintained and safe for residents, family members, guests, and associates. Repair and maintain buildings, grounds, and support equipment. To ensure the safety and health standards for the property are being met.

HERE ARE A FEW OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS THAT ARE EXPECTED OF OUR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN ON A DAILY BASIS:

• Assist residents with simple requests as needed or find appropriate associate to assist
• Look for opportunities to exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction
• Look for opportunities to exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction
• Model a “pride of ownership” in community appearance
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices

Required Skills

• Customer service focus

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position as stated in the job description

Required Experience

• High school graduate preferred.
• One to three years’ experience in patch, texture and painting.
• Should have a high degree of mechanical aptitude.
• Technical training or HVAC certification is desirable.
