Resident Care Coordinator
The Resident Care Coordinator works with Assisted Living Director in directing, coordinating, supervising services provided by the Resident Assistants for the residents in Assisted Living, medication control and coordinating with physicians for optimum health care of residents.

Required Skills
Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Understands the operation of: telephone, intercom, walkie-talkie, pager, computer, typewriter, copy machine, blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, thermometer, medication cart, exercise equipment, fire panel, fire extinguisher, time clock, finger stick and other miscellaneous nursing equipment. Must be able to deal with confused or demanding residents and family members. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and with multiple priorities. Experience working with geriatric clients, retirement/assisted living or personal care.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be ambulatory. Must be capable of lifting and moving residents up to 70 pounds or more, occasionally with assistance of one. Must have good audio and visual perception to assist residents in emergency situations. Must be able to tolerate standing, bending, stooping, walking and stressful situations. Must accept risk of working in a group setting where employees are exposed to communicable disease and possible resident combativeness.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) diploma, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and appropriate state license and certification in Universal Precautions, CPR and First Aid.
Required Experience
High school graduate. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) diploma or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a minimum of appropriate state license, experience working with geriatric clients, experience in retirement living, assisted living or personal care.
