    SUMMARY

    A growing firm is seeking a critical Project Manager for either Austin or San Antonio office. This PM will provide project management expertise for CEI projects. This company has served our Texas communities for more than 20 years and laid the foundation for a unique company culture focused on strong character, service and bettering communities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Provide leadership with grit and character by being a good communicator, having an interest in learning, be inspiring, a visionary, a team builder, live our Purpose, help to achieve our Vision, allow others to shine, taking responsibility, leading by example, and being dependable, respectful, passionate and an active listener.
    • Manage projects to plan, synchronize, and assign work based on individual project timelines and priorities.
    • Daily audit project records to ensure quality.
    • Prepare project invoices and progress reports within the requested time.
    • Establish new relationships/partnerships and new business/clients to support future work for the Division.
    • Serve as PM or task lead on pursuits as requested by the Communities Group.
    • Assist in RFP responses as requested by the Communities Group.
    • Assist in updating monthly operational reports.
    • Prepare project scope, fee, and schedule as assigned.
    • Monitor project budgets and schedules, and be proactive in identifying challenges to be mitigated.
    • Maintain support for construction field personnel and troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the course of a transportation construction project, involving regular travel to the project sites for hands-on support efforts.
    • Source, interview, and hire construction inspectors/staff as required. Assume other duties as directed by the Department Lead.
    • Support and maintain the morale, welfare, professional development, training, and work-life balance of all assigned staff utilizing the Company’s Character Qualities.
    • Comply with all company policies, procedures, practices, rules.
    • Serve as an example of proper conduct per Company Character Qualities.

    • Perform R&D Responsibilities as programmed in annual goals:
      • Dedicate Research & Development time as assigned

      • Dedicate Community business development time as assigned.
      • Attend council meeting, commissioner court, breakfast/luncheons, conference as requested.
    • Be active in an industry society(s).

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET/EAC accredited program
    • Registered Professional Engineer is required
    • Project Management experience is required
    • Relevant transportation construction inspection experience is preferred
    • Relevant technology/software experience
    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
