SUMMARY
Our global and growing client in Houston is looking for a Stormwater Project Manager, as a Texas licensed professional engineer to fill a crucial leadership role to lead and manage infrastructure projects on their transportation team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with Office Leader to set direction and goals for the Team.
- Works with Office and Business Unit Leader to implement marketing plan.
- Works with Office and Business Unit Leader to evaluate potential for sales of new work to new or existing clients.
- Monitors workload of assigned staff and work with Office Leader as required ensuring goals for utilization, revenue and profit are met.
- Performs duties of project manager for assigned projects.
- Prepares estimates of time and costs and prepare drafts of proposals and contracts on assigned projects.
- Prepares budgets and schedules for assigned projects.
- Arranges and conduct project kick-off meeting.
- Supervises and control all project activities for assigned projects.
- Monitors project progress and performance; implement corrective action as required to assure compliance with budget.
- Processes monthly invoices in accordance with the firm’s schedule.
- Collects A/Rs for assigned projects.
- Maintains liaison with clients on assigned projects and see that weekly progress reports are made to clients.
- Establishes and maintain files for all project records.
- Ensures project QA/QC procedures consistent with the firm’s policies are performed.
- Determines appropriate training for assigned staff.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS Civil Engineering
- 5 + years’ experience in civil engineering with emphasis on transportation
- Texas Licensed Professional Engineer
- Willingness to travel as needed.
