🍽️ KITCHEN EXPO & BUILDERS WANTED! 🍽️

(And NO—we are NOT looking for someone to actually build us a kitchen 😉)

Lucy Buffett’s LuLu’s is a fast‑paced, casual, waterfront family restaurant and bar where Food, Fun, and Music are part of our everyday culture. If you love organized chaos, great teamwork, and making plates look perfect before they hit the dining room—this role might be for you!

👀 So… What Does an Expo or Builder Do? We’re glad you asked!

Kitchen Expo

The Expo is the quarterback of the kitchen line. Positioned on the opposite side of the window from the line cooks, Expos:

Receive and organize food tickets

Communicate ticket needs and timing with line cooks

Track cook times and ticket flow

Pull completed food items and stage them on trays

Pass completed trays to the Builder

Kitchen Builder

Once the tray reaches the Builder, it’s showtime! Builders:

Add guest‑requested sauces and menu‑specific condiments

Prepare sandwich setups, sides (coleslaw, fruit, etc.)

Ensure everything is complete, accurate, and presentation‑ready

Hand off finished trays to food runners for delivery to guests

Teamwork makes the dream work—and these roles are a huge part of keeping service smooth and guests happy.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

Maintain strong knowledge of the menu and food safety standards

Ensure every plate meets LuLu’s quality and presentation standards

Set up, stock, and maintain your station throughout the shift

Double‑check every order for accuracy before it leaves the kitchen

Keep a clean and organized workstation at all times

Assist with overall kitchen cleanliness and station breakdown

Complete all opening, running, and closing duties as assigned
