    The Role

    We are searching for kitchen managers to serve as the right hand to our Executive Chef. At Bog & Barley, this is a critical leadership role. You must thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while maintaining the precision required for elevated Irish fare. We need a leader who can command the line during a Saturday night rush and mentor our team to maintain the award-winning standards our guests expect.

    What You’ll Do

    Culinary Excellence: Supervise all food production, ensuring every dish meets our exacting standards for quality and presentation.

    Kitchen Management: Assist with logistics, including ordering, inventory, and labor cost controls, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and stays within budget.

    Team Development: Lead and mentor our Back-of-House (BOH) staff. You are responsible for training new hires and fostering a culture of professional growth and "radical hospitality."

    Operations & Safety: Maintain exceptionally high standards of sanitation and safety. You will ensure the kitchen remains "Health-Inspector ready" at all times.

    Cultural Leadership: Present a unified management front. You are a role model for the staff, maintaining a positive, professional presence even during peak service hours.

    Qualifications

    Experience: 1+ years of BOH management experience in a high-volume, upscale, or fine-dining environment.

    Technical Skill: Strong technical cooking abilities and the flexibility to perform all kitchen duties and work any station when needed.

    Leadership: Proven ability to train staff and manage a diverse team with a "lead-by-example" mentality.

    Knowledge: Thorough understanding of local health department regulations and strict adherence to food handling procedures.

    Admin & Math: Basic working knowledge of PC software (inventory/ordering systems) and strong basic math skills for recipe scaling and inventory.

    Availability: Flexible schedule required, including the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
