    Dialog Cafe WEST LA CLUBHOUSE is looking for a hands-on KITCHEN MANAGER to join our team who can help with daily execution of kitchen operations, team accountability, and system driven consistency. This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of outcomes, communicates clearly, and believes great kitchens are built through strong systems, respectful leadership, and continuous improvement. THIS IS FOR 1835 S Sepulveda Los Angeles

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Daily Operations & Service

    • Manage daily kitchen service with a focus on food quality, ticket times, cleanliness, and execution

    • Actively monitor service flow and step in when standards slip

    • Ensure recipes, prep, and plating meet Dialog Café standards

    • Identify operational issues early and address them before they escalate

    People Leadership

    • Build strong relationships with the team through regular check-ins, feedback, and coaching

    • Lead difficult conversations when needed, including write-ups and performance plans

    • Create a respectful, professional, and psychologically safe work environment

    • Uphold company standards consistently while treating people with fairness and respect

    Scheduling & Staffing

    • Create and manage staff schedules based on business needs, labor targets, and team availability

    • Adjust staffing proactively to support service flow and avoid burnout

    • Communicate schedule changes clearly and early

    Inventory, Ordering & Cost Control

    • Manage inventory with accuracy and discipline

    • Place orders thoughtfully to balance freshness, par levels, and food cost

    • Receive and review invoices, flagging discrepancies or issues

    • Monitor waste and implement corrective actions when trends appear

    Systems & Documentation

    • Maintain accurate manager logs, checklists, SOP adherence, waste logs, and training notes

    • Use documentation to identify patterns and improve consistency

    • Contribute to refining systems—not working around broken ones
