    Position Summary:

    The Kitchen Manager oversees all back-of-house operations to ensure a clean, efficient, and high-quality kitchen environment. This role is responsible for maintaining food quality, enforcing safety and sanitation standards, managing kitchen staff, and controlling inventory and costs. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent organizational and communication skills who can balance culinary excellence with operational efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Kitchen Operations & Leadership

    Supervise all kitchen staff, including cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers.

    Schedule, train, and motivate team members to ensure high performance and teamwork.

    Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service and food consistency.

    Communicate effectively with front-of-house management to coordinate service and menu changes.

    Food Quality & Safety

    Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and consistency.

    Ensure compliance with all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations (local, state, and federal).

    Monitor portion control, waste reduction, and product rotation (FIFO).

    Inventory & Cost Control

    Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies.

    Track food costs and labor expenses to meet budget goals.

    Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

    Maintenance & Equipment

    Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operational.

    Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance when needed.

    Qualifications:

    3+ years of experience in a kitchen management or supervisory role.

    Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices (ServSafe certification preferred).

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

    Proficiency in inventory management and cost control.
