    About the role We are seeking experienced Kitchen Managers to join the Savory Team! Our ideal candidate will anticipate and address the needs of the company and our client partners with a focus on order fulfillment, quality control, presentation and plating, and delivering high-end final products while maintaining a high standard of hygiene and safety in accordance with the Department of Health and Savory standards. This role works closely with our Sous Chefs to maintain Savory’s standards of exceptional quality in our product, and exemplify internal hospitality in their leadership skills.

    Our ideal candidate has proven experience as a kitchen manager/supervisor at a restaurant or with a catering group and will anticipate and address the ever-changing needs of our growing company.

    This role is a key addition to our team. Here are some examples of the primary responsibilities of our Kitchen Managers:

    Support daily culinary operations under the guidance of Executive and Sous Chefs.

    Produce high-quality menu items in a fast-paced, high-volume production kitchen.

    Place and confirm purchase orders based on usage trends and forecasted demand.

    Communicate with vendors for orders, pricing, product updates and kitchen maintenance.

    Maintain organized inventory records, including waste logs and monthly counts.

    Write and update standardized recipes, prep guides, and station setup instructions.

    Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and storage standards.

    Foster a professional, positive kitchen environment focused on hospitality and efficiency.

    Develop and standardize high-volume, scalable recipes tailored for corporate catering.

    Manage recipe-related projects and coordinate with client services, finance, and office teams.

    Your experience should show us the following:

    Proven work experience as a kitchen manager/supervisor or comparable, 3+ years preferred

    Excellent record of kitchen management

    Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures

    Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently

    Strong communication and leadership skills

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word)

    Bilingual or professional proficiency in Spanish is a plus!

    Job requirements

    Capable of maintaining a stationary position; often standing for prolonged periods in varying temperature conditions

    Ability to lift up to 50lbs, ability to repeatedly lift up to 25lbs

    DOH Food Handler’s certificate required

    Willingness and flexibility to work a daytime schedule Monday – Friday and occasionally nights, weekends or holidays
